Malaysian amateur golfer Gavin Kyle Green holds the Lee Trevino trophy after successfully defending the Sun Bowl Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic title in Texas on Sunday.

PETALING JAYA: Young amateur golfer Gavin Kyle Green made Malaysia proud by successfully defending the Sun Bowl Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic in Texas.

The 20-year-old, a senior at the University of New Mexico, rewrote the event’s history when he became only the second golfer with back-to-back victories in the prestigious tournament. Other notable winners include Tiger Woods, Matt Kuchar, David Duval and Davis Love III.
