Birdie barrage puts Pijit joint-top at halfway mark


PETALING JAYA: Thailand’s Pijit Petchkasem charged into contention at the RM200,000 PGM Terengganu Championship after posting a six-under 65 to share the halfway lead with American teenager Micah Lauren Shin.

The 27-year-old Pijit carded eight birdies against two bogeys to match Micah’s two-day total of eight-under 134 as the overnight leader returned with a 71 at the Resort Awana Kijal.
