Rashid hopes to be paired with Mickelson

Rashid Ismail: 'I’m still injured, so I have to be careful and play smart. I won’t push too hard on par fives and play some regulation golf.'

KUALA LUMPUR: Local hope Rashid Ismail is treading with caution as he prepares to make his first appearance in the lucrative US$7mil (RM22.2mil) CIMB Classic, which begins at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club on Thursday.

The Malaysian will be among an elite 78-man field, including multiple Major champions Phil Mickelson of the United States and Ernie Els of South Africa and current Asian Tour Order of Merit leader Kiradech Aphibarnrat of Thailand.
