(Reuters) - Taylor Saghabi struck a hat-trick as the Cook Islands kicked-off Oceania's Road to Russia 2018 on Monday by beating hosts Tonga 3-0 to record their first ever World Cup qualifying win.
It was a first victory anywhere for the Cook Islands, ranked 206th in the 209-team FIFA rankings and boasting a population of fewer than 15,000, since beating Tonga 2-1 in a friendly in 2009.
