JOHOR BARU: Newly crowned Super League champions Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) failed to make full use of home ground advantage when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Hong Kong’s South China in the first-leg of the AFC Cup quarter-finals at the Larkin Stadium on Tuesday.

Argentine Luciano Figueroa put the Southern Tigers ahead from the spot kick in the 47th minute before midfielder Awal Mahama scored the equaliser in the 63rd minute.
