BANGKOK: Malaysia coach Dollah Salleh is counting on his players’ never-say-die spirit to overcome the two-goal deficit against Thailand in the return leg of the AFF Suzuki Cup final at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil on Saturday.
The Harimau Malaya were outclassed in the first leg, losing 2-0 at the Rajamangala Stadium on Wednesday. Midfielder Charyl Chappuis converted a penalty in the 71st minute and winger Kroekrit Thawikan doubled the tally in the 85th minute.
