Frenz United beat Chonburi to finish third


PETALING JAYA: Muhd Akhmar Haiqal starred with a brace in Frenz United Malaysia’s 3-1 win over Chonburi FC of Thailand in the second-leg of the Asia Champions Trophy (ACT) third-placing match at the Janda Baik Stadium in Pahang.

The Malaysians, who held the defending champions to a goalless draw in the first-leg at the Chonburi Stadium last week, scored through Muhd Akhmar (37th, 65th) and Muhammad Fareez (41st) before Sittichok Paso (75th) scored the consolation goal in Saturday’s match.
