KUALA LUMPUR: While it may sound crazy to even think that Malaysia will feature in future World Cups, Datuk Peter Velappan, a prominent figure of Asian football, believes otherwise.
Peter, who served as general secretary of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) from 1978 to 2007, claimed Malaysia can dream of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup if a proper 12-year development programme is being carried out now.
