PETALING JAYA: Felda United ended Premier League leaders Police’s 19-match unbeaten run with a slim 1-0 win at the MBPJ Stadium in Kelana Jaya on Monday.

Liberian midfielder Zah Rahan Krangar’s 42nd minute goal enabled Felda to collect 44 points and narrow the gap with the cops to five points.

The Premier League title race between Police (49 points) and Felda (44) could go down the wire with two remaining matches.

Police are already assured of promotion to the Super League next season while Felda and third-placed Penang are vying for the other slot.

The cops need at least a point in their remaining fixtures before they can be crowned champions.

They wrap up their fixtures against Negri Sembilan away (June 20) and at home against Kedah (June 24) while Felda play UiTM FC (home) and Perlis (away) in their remaining fixtures.

Meanwhile, bottom-placed PBABB FC (seven points) and 11th placed Perlis (11) will be relegated to the third-tier FAM Cup competition next season.
