PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s hopes of advancing to the quarter-finals suffered a severe blow after they lost 7-1 to Thailand in the opening game of the men’s AFC Futsal Championships at the Phu Tho Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City.
Malaysia must now win their remaining two fixtures in Group C against Lebanon on Saturday and Taiwan on Monday.
