(Reuters) - Talks over Sam Allardyce's West Ham United future have been placed on hold following four consecutive defeats, with work still to be done to preserve their Premier League status amid calls for the manager's sacking.
Some West Ham supporters unveiled a banner saying "Fat Sam Out – Killing WHU" during Saturday's 1-0 defeat at West Bromwich Albion that left them in 14th on 37 points, five clear of the relegation places.
