KUCHING: Australian Ryan Griffiths will replace ineffective Iranian striker Alireza Abbasfard in the Sarawak Super League team.
Sarawak coach Robert Alberts said Griffiths would be arriving in Kuching to join the Sarawak squad on March 10.
“We can only register the new player when the transfer window opens on March 22. At the same time we will release Alireza,” said Alberts, adding that Griffiths’ presence would add bite to their strike force.
Alireza played 10 matches for the Crocs but could only manage one goal. Sarawak are now in third in the league with nine points after five matches. — Bernama
