KUANTAN: Pahang police on Sunday refuted claims on several social media sites that a football supporter from Pahang had died in a fight with supporters of Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) on Friday.
Kuantan District Police chief Supt Abdul Aziz Ahmad said that to date the police have not received any report on the matter.
“People should not be easily taken in by such rumours, especially when they are posted on social media. Such provocation should not take place and should be stopped as it can lead to fights,” he told Bernama here.
He said police only received four reports with regard to clashes in Kuantan and Pekan and investigations are ongoing to find the cause of the fracas. – Bernama
