Perak sign three foreigners for new M-League season

IPOH: Super League side Perak have signed three foreign players for the new M-League football season.

Perak team manager Datuk Azhar Ahmad said the three players are Myanmar’s Kyaw Zayar Win, Wendwoga Didier Martin of Burkina Faso and Brazil’s Anderson Rodrigues Cardosa.

“We are convinced by their style of play. Zayar Win will play as an attacking midfielder, Didier Martin as central defender and Cardosa as striker,” he told reporters at the contract signing ceremony here yesterday.

Azhar said that Perak expect to sign another foreign striker, a New Zealander, next week.

He added that Perak have also signed 10 of their President’s Cup players on a RM5,000 allowance each as well as seven players from the previous season.

“They (President’s Cup players) have shown high commitment. If we do not tie them down with contracts, I’m sure they will be poached by the other states,” he said, adding that Perak will play a friendly against FA Cup holders Kelantan at Perak Stadium on Tuesday. — Bernama
