Junior Eldstal will be undergoing surgery on a slipped disc which has been bothering him for some time now.
KUCHING: Sarawak midfielder Junior Eldstal, one of the key players for the Crocs, is expected to undergo surgery on a slipped disc next Monday.
Sarawak head coach Robert Alberts said the surgery would be conducted in Kuala Lumpur by top surgeons in the region using laser technology to enable a faster recovery.
Alberts informed that it is an old and recurring injury that Eldstal had prior to coming to Malaysia to play.
“If he does not perform the surgery as soon as possible, it will be risky for him as a football player in the long run,” he said.
Eldstal, who was born in Sabah, grew up in Sweden before moving to England where he played in the Vauxhall Football League.
The surgery rules Eldstal out of the Myanmar SEA Games in December. – Bernama
