PETALING JAYA: In-form PKNS FC striker Patrick Ronaldinho Wleh is ready to deliver the killer blow against Pahang in the return-leg of their Malaysia Cup quarter-final clash at the Shah Alam Stadium on Friday.
The 22-year-old Liberian international, who has scored 22 goals in all competitions, has vowed to grab a couple more and help PKNS get the better over Pahang, who won the first-leg 3-2 in Kuantan last week.
“I am confident ... of our team’s capabilities. I dare say that PKNS will advance to the semi-finals. All we need is just one goal and we can pip Pahang on goal difference. But I intend to score two goals and put us through to the semi-finals with a comfortable margin,” declared Wleh yesterday.
High-riding PKNS have been on a roll in the Malaysia Cup competition, having topped Group B with 15 points from five wins and a loss.
Wleh, their top scorer with seven goals in the competition, admitted that he has done well with his new club since moving from Premier League outfit Sime Darby FC last season.
“This is a great team, with quality players all around. I have combined well upfront with all the attacking players, especially Roman (Chmelo). We have a good playing technique. Credit to Pahang too ... they are a good team but I don’t see why we can’t advance to the next round,” said Wleh.
