PETALING JAYA: Malaysia lost to China 2-0 in a friendly international football match played at the Tianjin Stadium in Beijing Tuesday night.
The national team preparing for the Asian Cup qualifying round match against Bahrain next month conceded a goal in each half through Zheng Long and Xu Yang in the 43rd and 57th minutes respectively.
Datuk K. Rajagopal’s men opened their Asian Cup qualifying campaign with a 2-0 loss to Qatar in February before bouncing back with a 2-1 win over Yemen in March.
Malaysia, who will host Bahrain at home on Oct 15, are third in the four-team standings with three points from two matches.
