PETALING JAYA: Glasgow Common-wealth Games champion Ooi Tze Liang could not even get past the preliminaries at the World Aquatics Championships in Kazan, Russia.

Poor efforts in the second (57.75) and fourth (46.80) dives of the men’s 3m springboard individual dashed any hopes he had of booking an early ticket to next year’s Rio de Janeiro Olympics.
