Ooi Tze Liang was unable to add another gold to his collection after finishing third in the men's 10m platform synchro with Chew Yi Wei.
GLASGOW: National divers Ooi Tze Liang and and Chew Yi Wei failed to win a medal in the men's 10m platform synchro final at the Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh on Friday.
The Malaysian duo were on course to win the gold after the fifth round but the final dive let them down to finish third with 387.39 points. Under the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) rules no bronze medal will be awarded if there were only four competitors.
Domonic Bedggood and Matthew Mitcham of Australia won the gold with 399.54 while the silver went to the divers from England Tom Daley and James Denny with 399.36.
Meanwhile, Cheong Jun Hoong finished eighth in the women's 1m springboard finals.
The 24-year-old diver from Perak managed 260.00 points while Traisy Vivien Tukiet finished last with 81.50 points.
Jennifer Abel of Canada won the gold medal with 287.25 points while Australia's Maddison Keeney (281.95) and Esther Quin (278.65) picked up the silver and bronze medals respectively.
