Muhd Shah shows pedigree ahead of World Cup meet

PETALING JAYA: Youngster Muhd Shah Firdaus Sahrom justified his inclusion in next month’s Track World Cup second leg in New Zealand by bagging the gold medal in the men’s keirin at the Madison of Melbourne.

In the two-day cycling meet at the Darebin International Sports Centre over the weekend, the 19-year-old powered his way to the finish line ahead of Victorian Institute of Sport riders Conor Rowley and Tom Mcfarlane. Rowley took the silver while Mcfarlane clinched the bronze.
