(Reuters) - Twice Tour de France champion Alberto Contador retained the overall Giro d'Italia lead a day after dislocating his shoulder in a crash, while home rider Diego Ulissi won the seventh stage on Friday.
Tinkoff-Saxo rider Contador, who also injured his knee during a mass sprint to the finish in Thursday's sixth stage, opted to race the 264-km leg from Grosseto to Fiuggi with lower pressure in his tyres to ease the strain on his sore shoulder.
