SYDNEY (Reuters) - Alastair Cook apologised to England fans for letting them down in the Ashes series and said he wanted to stay on as captain to help turn around the team's fortunes.
The tourists crumbled to a fifth humiliating defeat to suffer only the third 5-0 Ashes series sweep in more than a century of the rivalry at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday.
