PETALING JAYA: Selangor’s Nur Syazwani Sahar picked up her second straight gold medal in the MSSM (national schools) bowling championships at the Sunway Mega Lanes in Sunway Pyramid.
The 14-year-old Syazwani, the winner of the girls’ singles on Tuesday, partnered Puteri Anis Nurfiqah to knock down 2,533 pinfalls to win the doubles event yesterday.
Pahang’s Alia Nadira Azmi and Nur Yusrina Raof settled for the silver with a 2,407 total while Sarawak’s Gillian Lim-Nur Aina Kamalia finished third with 2,359 pinfalls.
Anis Syazlin of Penang also clinched her second gold when she partnered Nur Amirah Azman to win the Under-18 girls’ doubles title with a 2,604 total. Earlier on Tuesday, Anis was the winner of the singles event.
