KUALA LUMPUR: There was contrasting fortunes for two promising national junior shuttlers at the Maybank Malaysia International Youth Under-19 championships.

Eighteen-year-old Cheam June Wei suffered his second blow of the week when he endured a demoralising first-round loss at the hands of Taiwan’s Lee Chia-hao in the first round at the Juara Stadium on Tuesday.
