Optimism high in BAM as Morten Frost arrives

BAM deputy president Tan Sri Mohd Al-Amin Abdul Majid knows Morten Frost on a personal level, and he is confident that the Dane will turn things around for Malaysian badminton when he takes charge as technical director starting Monday.

KUALA LUMPUR: When Morten Frost was in Malaysia over a decade ago, he used to enjoy having banana leaf rice with Coke.

“I haven’t forgotten one of his habits – that is having banana leaf rice. He likes the curry and he waters it down with Coke. Assimilating with the culture here will be the least of his worries,” said Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) deputy president Tan Sri Mohd Al-Amin Abdul Majid.
