KUALA LUMPUR: Muar City BC were tickled pink and RM1mil richer after becoming the inaugural Kopiko Purple League champions.

The Johor outfit had won the title before last night’s final fixture against Puchong United BC at the Sports Arena Sentosa. Although Muar City suffered their first loss – 9-13 - in Malaysia’s first-ever badminton league, it did not dampen their celebrations.
