PETALING JAYA: World No. 31 Chong Wei Feng led the way as five Malaysian singles shuttlers cleared the opening round at the India Open GP Gold.

Wei Feng, 27, who crashed out in the second round of the Malaysian Open GP Gold last week, made amends with a morale boosting 21-9, 21-11 win over local shuttler Ashish Sharma at the Babu Banarasi Das Indoor Stadium in Lucknow.
