PETALING JAYA: When it rains, it pours! And senior shuttler Liew Daren looks a washed-up player when he lost to youngster Lim Chi Wing in the semi-finals of the National Grand Prix Finals in Kuala Terengganu.
The 19-year-old Chi Wing was in sizzling form in Monday’s match as he sent third seed Daren packing 21-19, 21-10 and heap more misery on the under-performing national player, who was tipped to win the title in the absence of the big guns – Lee Chong Wei and Chong Wei Feng – from this tournament.
