PETALING JAYA: Five-time world champion Lin Dan stayed on course for his sixth China Open crown after posting a straight-games victory in the men’s singles semi-finals.
The 31-year-old Lin Dan, champion in 2003, 2004, 2008, 2009 and 2011, proved too strong for Taiwan’s Chou Tien-chen with a 21-17, 21-17 win in his hometown in Fuzhou on Saturday.
