KUALA LUMPUR: National singles coach Rashid Sidek has escaped punishment from the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) for revealing to the media his decision to turn down an offer as project leader for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in July.

A four-man disciplinary committee, chaired by BAM vice president Datuk V. Subramaniam, let Rashid off with a warning.
