PETALING JAYA: Former national shuttler Tan Chun Seang comfortably beat Japanese qualifier Kanta Tsuneyama to reach the men’s singles semi-finals of the Vietnam Open Grand Prix in Ho Chi Minh City.
The 10th seeded Chun Seang, who lost to South Korean Son Wan-ho in last year’s tournament, won 21-13, 21-14 to set up a clash with world No. 50 H.S. Prannoy of India, who defeated Indonesia’s Andre Kurniawan Tedjono 21-13, 21-19.
