KUALA LUMPUR: National woman doubles shuttler Ng Hui Lin has been greeted with pleasant news after returning to the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) fold.
On Wednesday, Hui Lin was named in the squad for the Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea from Sept 19-Oct 4.
The other women doubles shuttlers are reigning Commonwealth Games gold medallists Vivian Hoo-Woon Khe Wei, Amelia Anscelly-Soong Fie Cho and Lim Yin Loo.
The 25-year-old Hui Lin and her younger sister Hui Ern re-joined BAM three weeks ago since completing their three-year economic studies.
Before the Asiad, the sisters will take part in the World Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark from Aug 25-31.
The duo have done well to balance studies and badminton over the last three years to maintain their top 30 standing in the world.
Hui Lin was happy to be playing for the country under the BAM banner.
“The World Championships will be my first tournament with BAM after so many years and I’m looking forward to it. I’m also thrilled that they have selected me for the Asian Games,” said Hui Lin.
