NEW DELHI: European champions Denmark are without retired singles ace Peter Gade Christensen and injured doubles specialist Mathias Boe but they are still optimistic of fighting for a medal in the Thomas Cup Finals at the Siri Fort Indoor Stadium.
The Danes made a strong start by beating Hong Kong 4-1 in their opening Group B encounter on Sunday and the winning point came from scratch pair Carsten Mogensen-Joachim Fischer Nielsen.
