Chong Wei welcomes shorter matches, fewer events

Lee Chong Wei believes that having fewer events in the Thomas Cup will open it up to more title contenders.

KUALA LUMPUR: World No. 1 Lee Chong Wei’s face lit up at the thought of changes that the Badminton World Federation (BWF) might make for the Thomas-Uber Cup Finals.

The 31-year-old Chong Wei expressed his favour over a proposal to change the format of the future Thomas-Uber Cup Finals.
