KUALA LUMPUR: Boosted by his selection into the SEA Games squad, back-up shuttler Iskandar Zulkarnain Zainuddin stormed into the men’s singles quarter-finals of the Korean Open Grand Prix Gold in convincing fashion.

On Thursday, Iskandar stayed focused throughout the game to beat Ha Young-woong of South Korea 21-17, 21-16 in 40 minutes in the third round to set up a meeting with 11th seed Tian Houwei of China.
