KUALA LUMPUR: Shuttler Koo Kien Keat is a doubles player but he will now have a ranking in the men’s singles event. Liew Daren is a singles player but he will have a ranking in the men’s doubles.
It may sound queer but this is one of the steps taken by the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) management under president Tengku Tan Sri Mahaleel Tengku Ariff to streamline the in-house ranking of players in the national team.
