KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s triple jumper Mohd Hakimi Ismail hopes to soar at the Bird Nest Stadium during the World Athletics Championships in Beijing – despite carrying a back injury.
The 24-year-old Singapore SEA Games gold medallist picked up the injury during training in Bukit Jalil but left on Friday for Beijing with his coach Victor Sotnikov for his maiden world meet.
