KUALA LUMPUR: Just 14cm – or 5.5 inches – separates triple jumper Mohd Hakimi Ismail from next year’s Rio de Janeiro Olympics.

The 24-year-old athlete has a personal best of 16.76m, which he achieved in Singapore on June 9 to break the SEA Games record of 16.67m set by Vietnam’s Nguyen Van Hung in the 2013 Myanmar Games.
