Queenie Ting on her way to breaking the MSSM Track and Field Championships’ girls’ Under-18 discus record.

ALOR SETAR: With one mighty hurl, Sarawak’s Queenie Ting surpassed not just the National Schools Sports Council (MSSM) Track and Field Championships’ girls’ Under-18 discus record, but the present Asean Schools mark as well.

The 17-year-old Sarikei High School Form Four student achieved the feat with a 44.02m effort in her third out of six attempts in the competition on Tuesday.
