PETALING JAYA: Four-time silver medallists Malaysia face an early exit from the men’s team recurve at the World Cup’s opening leg in China.
In Wednesday’s qualifying rounds at the Yuanshen Stadium in Shanghai, Khairul Anuar Mohamad, Atiq Bazil Bakri and Haziq Kamaruddin could only manage a combined score of 1,966 points to be placed 15th out of 30 teams. Malaysia qualified for Friday’s elimination round, but face a herculean task against reigning world champions the United States.
