Short circuit cause of poor lighting

WE refer to the letter “Need for better ferry services for Penang” (The Star, Nov 24) and wish to express our regret over the inconvenience experienced by the writer.

We had an unfortunate electrical short circuit on Nov 21 and that resulted in the lack of fluorescent lighting at the passenger waiting area on that particular day. The problem was rectified within two hours.
