Impose similar tax on electronic cigarettes

THE recent interest and scrutiny on e-cigarettes has raised questions on what the Government, in particular the Health Ministry, intends to do about it.

While other countries like Singapore and Thailand have banned the product, our Health Ministry is just having discussions with the relevant parties and agencies to get their views on the health effects of this method of smoking, according to the Health Minister.
