READING the news about the demise of the 101-year-old mother who tended her disabled son for 63 years, “101-year-old who cared for disabled son dies” (The Star, Aug 8), gave the message that a mother’s love has no bounds.
Having been a volunteer who visited nursing homes periodically and having talked with the old folks there, I have found that most of the elderly parents wish their children would take care of them in their old age.
