Danger of changing lights of LED billboards

THE Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (Miros) wishes to suggest to the relevant authority that it reviews the permissible light emitting diodes (LEDs) on digital billboards along our roads and highways.

These new types of billboards, which use very bright light emitting diodes (LEDs) to display full-colour imagery, could cause drivers to lose concentration. This may give rise to road accidents when drivers are visually distracted by the electronic displays.
