Farewell to the ‘missile man of India’

A.P.J. (Avul Pakir Jainul Abdeen) Abdul Kalam (right), India’s 11th President, passed away on July 27, at the age of 83, in Shillong, in the northern province of Megalaya, India. He collapsed at a function at the Indian Institute of Management and died later in hospital.

His death is a great loss, not only to India but to the world, in particular the Islamic World and overseas Indians, who admired him for his achievements, which were on par, if not exceeded, the best in his field of expertise.
