IT is heartening to read the news that the brutally injured 20-year-old orang utan, which is now being treated at the Sabah wildlife rescue unit in Sepilok, is showing signs of recovery.
This orang utan, a totally protected wildlife species, was found groaning in pain in a plantation with a deep cut on its shoulder and several puncture wounds on its forehead.
