YAYASAN 1Malaysia notes that Sarawak State Tourism Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg has announced publicly that there is a move to proclaim Kuching as Bandaraya Perpaduan (City of Unity).
The move is the initiative of Yayasan 1Malaysia (YIM) or 1Malaysia Foundation, a civil society group established in July 2009 to promote unity among the diverse communities in Malaysia.
