Increase smoking zones in public areas


I REFER to the recent report where Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam said that a smoking ban on all eateries, including open air spaces without air conditioning, was just a suggestion to increase smoke-free areas, I would like to give some suggestions.

The intention of the ministry to increase smoke-free areas is commendable as, for many years now, people who do not smoke have been subjected to and are at the risk of being exposed to the hazards of smoke exhaled by the smokers.
