IT was with disbelief that I read your article, “Service charge stays” (The Star, April 23), which reported on the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry secretary-general’s announcement that hotels and restaurants will be allowed to impose the service charge.
This is especially so when the letters in The Star were generally for the abolishment of this 10% charge.
