Give the authorities time to do the job

I REFER to the letter “Vehicles still heavily tinted” (The Star, March 31). The writer stated that car owners with heavily tinted windows are getting bolder due to the inaction of the authorities to enforce the law.

I would not say there was inaction by the authorities to uphold the law as I believe the authorities, namely the Road Transport Department (JPJ) and the police, have taken the necessary action but without much publicity.
